How to Create a Course
Hello! How are you?
In this article, we will show you how to create a new course on the platform.
⚠️ Advanced Permissions in Trainings
⚠️ Important!
The network can configure Head Office user permissions to prevent certain users from managing training courses.
This means they may not be able to create, edit, or publish courses and exams, or view course statistics.
Therefore, if you cannot see any of the actions mentioned in this article, check your user permissions.
Users assigned to the standard Manager role may also view their employees' course statistics, provided the network has authorized this permission.
To enable this permission, contact Yungas Support.
To edit permissions, go to:
Settings >> Permissions
Then, locate the Education module under the Head Office role you want to edit.
🎓 Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Course
🔸 Step 1
To access the module, expand Trainings in the side menu and click Manage Courses.
Important! The module name may vary depending on the network.
The naming is defined by the Head Office.
If you would like to change the module name, contact our Support team.
🔸 Step 2
To create your first course, click "+ Create Course".
If courses have already been created, click "New Course" to add another one.
The screen for entering the initial information of the new course will appear.
🔸 Step 3
On the course creation page, enter the following information:
🟣 Cover Image
Select the image file that will be used as the cover of the course to be published.
⚠️ Important!
The file must be in .jpg or .png format, with a maximum size of 5 MB.
Suggested dimensions for the training cover: 490 × 276 pixels.
The image may be larger, provided it maintains a 16:9 aspect ratio. Smaller images are not recommended.
🟣 New Course Name
Important! The course name must not exceed 255 characters.
🟣 New Course Description
🟣 Available Until
Define the period during which the course will be available to users, including the date and time.
🟣 Course Duration
Enter the course duration in hours and minutes.
🔸 Step 4
Define which users will have access to the new course by selecting one of the following options:
🟢 All users
🟢 Head Office users and Unit Managers
🟢 Head Office users only
🟢 Master users only
In addition, course access can be restricted through segmentation using Tags and User Groups.
When a tag is applied, only users linked to units that have that tag will be able to view the course.
When a user group is applied, only users belonging to the selected group will be able to view the course.
When both a tag and a user group are applied, only users linked to the selected units and belonging to the specified user group will be able to view the course.
After completing the information, click "Create".
New course configuration options will then become available.
These options provide access to the course editor, where you can add all the training content, including course modules, lessons, and exams.
The Statistics tab allows the editor to view user engagement statistics and course progress, including:
🔸 Users who will have access to the course
🔸 Each user's course progress status
🔸 Users who have completed the course
🔸 Exam scores, if applicable
🔸 Date of last access
🔸 Completion date
You can also download engagement data in a spreadsheet by clicking "Download Data".
In addition, you can use the search field to find a specific user and the unit filter to view users from one or more selected units.
🔎 Course Configuration Options in Detail
1. 📚 Modules
When the editor opens the Modules tab, the initial module management screen will be displayed.
🎯 Creating and Editing Modules
When creating a module, you can add a brief description explaining the topics covered in its lessons.
If you need to edit a module, follow the process shown below.
You can also choose whether to enable free navigation between modules.
When this option is enabled, users can navigate through all course modules, even if they have not completed the previous ones.
If this option is disabled, users must follow the required sequence of lessons and modules.
2. ⏯️ Lessons
To access or create lessons, you must first select a module.
In this menu, you can create new lessons and edit or delete existing ones.
When editing a lesson, you can add videos or PDF files, either through an external link or by uploading a file.
⚠️ Important!
You can embed a live-streaming link in the training module.
This can be done using links from platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo, where you can create a live stream and share its link with training participants.
You can also track student engagement directly through the course statistics.

"This course does not have any lessons!"
🗑️ Deleting a Course
To delete a course draft, simply click "Delete".
The process is similar for a course that has already been published.
Open the course and click "Delete".
📌 Tip:
If you want to hide a course from users without deleting it, change the date in "Available Until" to one minute after the current time and click "Save".

In addition, the course title will include "Copy".
Done!
Your first course has been published!
📜 Certificate
If your network has a standard certificate template, contact the Yungas Support team and send the file so it can be added to the platform.
This file will be used as the background image.
Suggested dimensions for the certificate background/template: 1240 × 1754 pixels or larger, while maintaining the same proportions.
⚠️ Important!
Head Office users with permission to Manage Trainings may access and download their employees' certificates, including certificates belonging to users who have been deleted.
